Bobby Flay’s Burger Empire Expands: Bobby’s Burgers Opens Flagship in Charlotte’s SouthPark

NOW OPEN: Celebrity chef Bobby Flay’s latest venture, Bobby’s Burgers by Bobby Flay, has made its debut in Charlotte’s #SouthPark area. The restaurant, spanning 3,000 square feet, welcomed its first customers on July 6 at The Towers at SouthPark, located at 6100 Fairview Road. An official grand opening celebration is scheduled for July 17.
This location is significant as it’s the first street-level establishment for Flay’s burger brand and serves as a flagship store. The space includes a 40-seat dining area, corporate offices, and an Innovation Center dedicated to research and development.
Local restaurateur Frank Scibelli has joined the project as an investor and advisor. Additionally, there are plans to open a second Bobby’s Burgers at Raleigh-Durham International Airport before year’s end, according to press releases.
Bobby’s Burgers Charlotte: What to Expect
Flay is known for his signature ‘crunchified’ burgers, which typically include potato chips or other crunchy elements. The #Charlotte location will feature the famous ‘Crunchburger,’ along with specialty items like the Nacho Burger and the ‘Beat Bobby Flay’ Veggie Burger.
The Charlotte restaurant will also function as Flay’s personal test kitchen for developing and refining new recipes.
Frank Scibelli, founder of ‘FS Food Group,’ has a strong presence in Charlotte’s culinary scene. He opened Mama Ricotta’s in 1992 at age 27 and has since been involved with numerous popular local eateries, including Little Mama’s, YAFO Kitchen, Midwood Smokehouse, and Paco’s Tacos and Tequila, among others.
